About us – Nodepositbetsnz

Free-bet promises are easy to make and hard to read, and Nodepositbetsnz reads them against New Zealand’s rules. No bets are taken here, no tips are sold and no return is promised, since a wager that cannot lose does not exist.

Where the line on legality comes from

No register of licensed bookmakers exists in New Zealand, because only one provider is lawful. Since 28 June 2025 TAB NZ alone may offer racing and sports betting to people in New Zealand, through TAB and Betcha. The Department of Internal Affairs, the Racing Industry Act 2020 and the Racing Industry Amendment Act 2025 are the sources. The Department states that an overseas company offering these bets is breaking the law, and the same material shows that the law is aimed at the operator, not the punter. Appearing in a ranking is never a licence.

Working with sources

A provider’s own terms, help pages and footers supply facts about the provider; the statutes and public bodies supply the legal ones. Offers change quickly, so any figure is given with when and where it applied. Where a source gives out, the matter is described in words and no number is made up.

Intended readers

The material is written for adults in New Zealand, as betting with TAB NZ is open from 18 only. It is not legal or tax advice. A reader who finds betting taking more room than planned can turn to the Gambling Helpline or Safer Gambling Aotearoa.
